Reaching the Sun's Edge you may disembarque and experience the unspoiled westernmost point of Deserta Island, On the way back there is time for a short stop at Faro Island. \n\nPlease note that the Ria Formosa navigational channels are subject to the tides, meaning that Deserta Island can be accessed via different routes depending on the time of day. At high tide, we head to the western end of the island - The Sun's Edge, its 'wildest' part. At low tide, we cruise from Faro to the eastern end of the island, where the Faro-Olhão inlet is located — the privileged access point to the Ria Formosa from the sea.
